Managed identities
A managed identity is an identity in your own estate that SypraSAM manages licences for. It is not a SypraSAM login. Most managed identities never sign in to SypraSAM at all.
Not every managed identity has access to our software — but every identity benefits from clearer licence management. That is why the price follows the size of your organisation, not the number of people who open SypraSAM.
Every identity synced from your directory
Including people who hold no licence at all today. They are part of the estate SypraSAM keeps in order.
Robot and automation identities
They are identities in their own right, and no person in your count stands in for them.

Shared mailboxes and role addresses.
Service accounts
An account a system uses on behalf of a team that is already in your count.

Shared accounts and service accounts are already bound to real people who are in your count once. Leaving them out is us declining to bill the same person twice.
The billable quantity is the average number of active managed identities in the preceding quarter. Permanently managed external users may be included in it.
SypraSAM's job is to shrink your licence estate: deduplicate entitlements, right-size over-provisioned users, reclaim licences when someone is offboarded. If we billed per managed item, every licence we helped you reclaim would take money off our own invoice — we would be paid to leave the sprawl where it is.
Pricing on identities removes that conflict. Clean up as thoroughly as you like: your price follows the size of your organisation, not the size of the mess. Our incentive and yours point the same way.
Identity scaling
Essentials, Control and Enterprise scale by managed identities: above the first 100 included identities every band is priced at its own marginal rate, so you never pay a single blended rate across the whole estate. Core is a flat edition and is not part of this model.
Each identity is charged at the rate of the band it falls into. An estate of 1,000 identities is charged band by band — its 101st to 500th and its 501st to 1,000th identity are priced separately.

Cloud FinOps
Control and Enterprise include Cloud FinOps, billed on your average monitored monthly cloud spend. Core and Essentials do not include Cloud FinOps.
The first €10,000 of average monitored monthly cloud spend is included. Above that, 1.5% is charged on the excess.
The amount is fixed at contract start from the average of the last three complete months and stays fixed for the contract period.

How edition-based pricing works
Core is a flat €499 per month for up to 50 managed identities. On Essentials, Control and Enterprise your monthly price is your edition base fee, which covers the first 100 managed identities, plus a marginal rate for every identity above that. On Control and Enterprise the Cloud FinOps component is added when your monitored cloud spend exceeds €10,000 per month. Governance Credits are only charged if you exceed your included monthly allowance.
A managed identity is an identity in your own directory that SypraSAM manages licences for — a person, or a robot that acts like one. It is not a SypraSAM login. Most managed identities never sign in to SypraSAM at all; they simply benefit from having their licences managed properly.
Yes. Access to SypraSAM is not what makes an identity billable. Your administrators are the ones working in SypraSAM, but the value lands on everyone whose licences are inventoried, right-sized and reclaimed. Every identity we manage licences for is therefore counted, including people who hold no licence at all today.
No. There is no per-seat and no per-user charge for SypraSAM itself. Your price is driven by the size of the identity estate we manage licences for, not by how many of your people open SypraSAM.
Yes. A robot or automation identity is an identity in its own right — no person in your count stands in for it, so it is counted like any other managed identity.
No. Shared accounts — shared mailboxes and role addresses — and service accounts are not counted. They are already bound to real people who are in your count once, and we would rather not bill the same person twice. Test accounts, blocked users and verified duplicates are not counted either.
They stop counting once they are deprovisioned from your directory — not when their licences are reclaimed. Reclaiming a leaver's licences lowers what you pay your software vendors; removing the identity from your directory is what lowers the count SypraSAM is priced on. Because the billable quantity is the average over the preceding quarter, the reduction reaches your price through that average rather than on the day itself.
No. Reducing licences, deduplicating entitlements and reclaiming unused software does not raise your SypraSAM price, because we do not charge per managed item. Your price follows the number of identities in your estate. Cleaning up lowers what you pay your software vendors and leaves what you pay us untouched.
An organization with 250 identities on Control pays the €1,299 base fee plus 150 identities at €1.20 each, so €180 — a total of €1,479 per month. At 1,000 identities the same organization pays €2,229, because the identities above 500 are charged at the lower €0.90 band rate.
Regular platform usage is included in your edition. Credits apply only to compute-intensive additional analyses: an advanced analysis costs 5 credits, a large connector run 10, an advanced policy evaluation 20. Core includes 20 credits per month, Essentials 50, Control 150 and Enterprise 300. No run becomes paid overage without your approval.
Control and Enterprise include Cloud FinOps. The first €10,000 of average monitored monthly cloud spend is included, and 1.5% is charged on the portion above it. The monthly amount is capped at €1,500 on Control and €3,000 on Enterprise, and it is fixed at contract start from the average of the last three complete months.
Up to 10% organic growth within a contract year is absorbed without repricing. Beyond that, a documented true-up follows in the next quarter or at renewal. We give at least 30 days notice before a band change on Essentials and Control, and 60 days on Enterprise.
